🍍 SPK Street Team 🍍
🍍 SALTY PiNEAPPLE KidS is a global mission of kindness and hope; expressed as a weekly comic strip about a pineapple named Koby and his best friend Egbert, who's an eggplant. At least that's what I told my second grade teacher, she's very proud!
Ok, real talk... We're not here to save the world, we're just 2 middle-aged guys who loved watching Saturday morning cartoons in the 80's and 90's; shoutout Master Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Dylan is a graffiti/tattoo artist who grew up in Michigan, and Jonah is a retired engineer from Hawaii. We were introduced by an insurance salesman from Colorado, early 2021. Neither one of us had much going on at the time, so we would hang out online every day and eventually started making SPK.
One question people love to ask is "who's your target audience?" The answer is you, the person reading this right now, you're our target audience. Hi, it's nice to meet you, thanks for being here! From the beginning our plan has been to "create a world, tell stories, and have fun," that's literally it. Simply put, we make stuff we think is cool. If you like it, great; if you don't like it, that's fine too. I will say this tho... On the spectrum from Sesame Street to South Park, we're somewhere in between.
And... Through cinematic storytelling, we've created an experience for our audience to discover a lifetime of fulfillment, cultivate social-emotional intelligence, develop an abundance mindset, and navigate real-world issues like climate change, bullying, and how to properly use a duck floaty. Got you again, haha. See how I did that?
Our only mission is to give you the same stoke we had growing up with Saturday morning cartoons. Dylan's talent for art combined with Jonah's technical skill was just enough to get started, but it's a lot like "building a plane while you're flying," and we have the scars to prove it. That's why we started the 🍍 SPK Street Team 🍍 because we need your help! Below are three different ways to support the cause; so if you like cartoons be sure to smash the button and stay tuned for another new episode, Saturday morning!
